Pretty good Thai food for Montana, I like the curry. Really like their lunch buffets (it's in the back past seating, there's a counter, don't stand around up front like I did), can get one or several entrees to try their menu. I like the atmosphere, although very dark. Great location.
Great food, comforting place, nice people, good prices.
Very Americanized flavor. Coming from Seattle and LA, I’m used to more authentic Thai. For instance, prik nam pla (chopped peppers in fish sauce) does not exist here. Real bummer!
Amazing!
Great place to eat. Nice atmosphere and great staff.
I love this place. Over and over again SaWaDee provides exceptional service, food and boba tea! This is one of the hidden gems of Missoula. The definition of perfection. You're missing out if you don't try it!
First time there, at lunch buffet time. Had the southern stir fry and a spicy green bean and chicken dish - both were delicious. Will definitely be going back to try more. Four stars just because I can't give five on just one sample.
Good food. Good prices. Nice atmosphere.
Aroy may krap!Really enjoyed this place! It is set up with a fixed menu that is different everyday. Order at the counter and choose one, two or three of the options on the menu. Pad Thai is served everyday. I had the Masaman curry, which was good. I also had the spicy chicken basil which was very good and a egg roll that you can but individually for $1.The prices are right, the food is ready and hot. I'll return next time I'm in Missoula.
The ginger chicken (Tues, Fri lunch) is just so so so good. Lots of other great food on the menu. Occasionally a bit of a line at noon, but always worth it.
Consistently awesome food. A regular lunch spot for me as I work in Downtown Missoula. Friendly family folks who own the place. A little quirky with the cafeteria-style set up, but ads to the food quality, in my opinion. Highly recommended!
Love this place! Best pad thai I personally have ever had. I always feel so welcome here.
Delicious. Comfortable. fun. Cafeteria style.. you bring your food to your own table and clear off your own plates and trays. What might feel like extra work.. really means a more privet experience. No waiter/waitress interuption. You go to the back. Order off of the day of the weeks menu... so less unnecessary stress on choices. Classic delicious food. You can choose from 1/2 combination to full combo. I was extra impressed with the delicious spring rolls, that imo were delicious with or with out sauce. I highly recommend the soup and rice. Oh and I can't forget to mention.. at the ordering counter if you love spice you can add more. Definitely don't forget to try their Thai ice tea! I noticed a convenient station for uber food delivery. I highly recommend eating here. I will definitely come back.
Thai-tastic! Spicy, savory, and delicious.
Always good food, great service, nice people and reasonably priced
Too yummy for words
Sings in the window and info on google state that the business closes at 6:00pm. Went at 5:30pm (August 4th) and the business was completely closed.
Food is so delicious, from the mild to very SPICY. Clean space and friendly staff. If nothing else, the food is worth the visit!
Pleasant. Family friendly. Enjoyed our meal.
Always great food. They have recently updated three hours to only serving lunch. I usually go a bit early because it can get a bit crowded at noon. The lunch menu changes each day with a few different options that include a curry, tom gau soup, a vegetable option, etc. I always get a potato ball which is very good. It is perfect for great food done quickly.
thai in missoula...this is IT! i mainly go at lunch, where the menu of available items changes daily. which day is my favorite? everyday, of course. one item, 2 items? no way, 3 item combo because its too good. i love places they know you by name. ultra friendly staff. sawadee makes to -go pad thai sauce too.
Fast friendly, ok for price.
Friday @ 7pm and closed. Came here for Thai food on my bday but closed during normal business hours. No listed reason. Bad business, bad review.
Great food and consistency is top notch!
Possibly the worst thai food I've ever eaten. That said, it's not gross, it's just the worst that I have hade.
I love this place. Especially like the green bean chicken curry.
Great food, fast service
Love the customer service!
The best Thai in Missoula. It's a friendly family run place. Lunches are casual and affordable. Dinners are full service and cozy classy.
Great place to sit and eat. The food is good, seating is good. Nice location downtown. I'll be back!!
Authentic and delicious at a decent price! If you like Thai then you will love this place!
Lunch is quick, easy and delicious.
The food is excellent but it does take a while to get it from the kitchen to the table . The wait staff is friendly and attentive and the tables are clean I will definitely eat here again.
My first time there definitely not the last. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking switch things up
The food is amazing. The staff is wonderful. I highly recommend sawadee
Our family loves this restaurant. Phad Thai, Spicy Basil Tofu, and Fried Rice are excellent. All the curries are excellent choices too. Plenty of gluten and dairy free options.
I love this restaurant, its definitely one of the crown jewels of Missoula. The service is friendly, the food is authentic and delicious, and there are incredible menus for vegetarians and vegans. Highly recommend.
The BEST Thai food in Missoula and nearly as good as any I've had in other places around the world. Great deli-style lunch menu. I highly recommend Thursdays for the Tom Kah Guy soup but you really can't go wrong with any of their selections on any day. Evening menu is more traditional and cozy dining experience.
Simply put it took over an hour to get our food and after we got home my wife and I spent the remainder of the night fighting over the bathroom. I don't remember the last time my stomach hurt that bad.
Wonderful, flavorful, heathly, and awesome staff too!
Hands down best food in Missoula. I work downtown and come here often for lunch. The staff is super sweet and friendly and of course, the food is always awesome.
We had Yellow curry and Thai fried rice for diner, both were tasty and the service was very good. Just based on that and the nice atmosphere I would like to give the restaurant 4 stars. Unfortunately my husband and I both woke up the next day with a case of food poisoning that took the next two days to clear up. It does seem like a well run establishment, but "paying" for dinner twice is no fun! :-(
There is a reason this place is a staple restaurant in Missoula, fantastic food and welcoming owners and employees.
Always fantastic. Very staff, consistently great food. Reasonable prices and you won't go hungry
We had gotten mixed messages about this place. We had a great meal though. I asked the waiter for recommendations and he was wonderful! We had Shu-mai for appetizers which were very good. We had Pa-nang for our main meal and shared but we added the peas and the bamboo shoots for no extra cost! The Italian RV mix wine was good. With one glass of wine, sharing the app and a main meal our bill was under $25! I don’t know what other people will experience but I think it’s worth a try! I’ll definitely go back again when we’re in town 😊
Top of the line Thai food. The name means welcome and they do that wonderfully. I am a picky eater and the food is great and the staff is very helpful and pleasant and always there if you need anything. You never have to look around for a waiter or waitress
Misleading photos. Good soup but awful pad thai. Decent price though.
The food was great and quite reasonably priced. I'm not really familiar with the area, so ended up using on-street parking... luckily I found one right out front (was picking up a to-go order).
Three stars is a stretch. The third star is because the food was fresh and the service is good but definitely not Thai food. I would call it thai-inspired white bread Montana food. I guess you have to cook for your target audience.
Excellent food and service
